We used our 3-phase consulting approach to help the company develop and deploy a customized improvement and excellence system:

Phase I: Build the Foundation:  Executive alignment to integrate the new philosophy and way of doing business into all business processes, foundation skills and leadership orientation, and process improvement and teams.

Phase II:  Organizational Deployment:  Improvement Specialist development, executive team coaching, and system implementation through chartering and coaching ROI Project teams to enhance the company’s operating culture.

Phase III:  Refinement:  Team leader development with a focus on roles, involvement, and tools of implementation; on-going Improvement Specialist development; and on-going support executive level team with facilitation, strategic planning, team building, and leadership development.

The Results

  •  

Integration of an acquired company was on time and on budget while maintaining customer service levels.

  •  

Improved catalog production process, resulting in fewer backorders, decreased inventory levels, reduction on photo re-shoots, and improved internal communication and collaboration.  Saved $15,000 per catalog.

  •  

Streamlined the collate printing and distribution process, allowing reallocation of several team members to more value-add work.  Saved over $100,000.

  •  

Redesigned the returns process and related forms, reducing the average time of customer service calls and improving related processes.  Created a Returns Team to continue to drive additional improvements.  Saved $270,000 the first years and an additional 15 – 20% in subsequent years.
